ID/OD Grinder

• The OD/ID Grinder (manual) is responsible for setting-up, operating and tending grinding

• Grinding applications will span aerospace grade cylindrical grinding production & specialized tool/spindle grinding

• Specializes in operating CNC and manual ID/OD grinders used in making or maintaining jigs, fixtures, gages and production aerospace parts

• Planning and performing difficult grinding operations which require complicated setups or a high degree of accuracy

Qualifications

• Requires extensive knowledge of machine shop practices usually acquired through extensive on the job training and experience

• High degree of mechanical aptitude and print reading skills

• Ability to work independently and to manage one’s time effectively

• Knowledge/experience with other machines (lathe, mill, CNC set up/programming, surface grind, jig grind) is not required but is beneficial.
