Description
The primary focus of this position is to operate materials test equipment, report findings and to maintain materials test laboratories and assist in the material flow of the department testing ferrous based metals, and metal joining, hydraulic fluids and coatings.
Perform all metallurgical tests.
Gather metallurgical data and report findings.
Assist engineers in project work.
Maintain material test equipment.
Basic understanding of material test equipment.
Basic understanding of metallurgical principles.
Working knowledge of drafting and fabrication skills.
Two years of technician experience or equivalent work experience.
Minimum two years experience in materials testing.
